In recent years, due to the policy promotion and the significant improvement of people's lives and income levels, China's health insurance has made great progress. In the past 2019, health insurance has continued to grow at an average annual growth rate of nearly 30%, becoming the main force driving premium growth. The data shows that in the whole year of 2019, the original premium income of health insurance was 706.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 29.70%.

The China Banking Regulatory Commission and other 13 departments jointly issued the "Opinions on Promoting the Development of Commercial Insurance in the Social Service Field" at the end of January this year, proposing to improve the health insurance products and services, and strive to achieve a market scale of more than 2 trillion yuan by 2025.

The sudden emergence of COVID-19 infection pneumonia in 2020 has greatly increased people's awareness of disease prevention and protection of health risks. Driven by policies and markets, commercial health insurance has ushered in new development opportunities. At the same time, under the overall situation in which health insurance has gained momentum, as more and more insurance companies enter the game, competition will become more intense. Relying on the continuous development of innovation capabilities, developing the "medical health ecosystem", and opening up full-chain services to provide higher comprehensive added value are challenges faced by market participants.

HIIWCC 2021 will focus on the theme of "Health Insurance Innovation in the Post-Epidemic Era" , bringing together top experts and scholars in the insurance, medical, academic, and technical fields at home and abroad to discuss health insurance + healthcare, internet + health insurance, healthcare big data integration and application, mobile healthcare and health management, commercial health insurance digital transformation and other hot topics, aim to strengthen the exchanges and interactions in the industry, and jointly explore the future and development path of the health insurance market.
